The SCA 50th Year Challenge Website
I decided to do the 50th Year Challenge simply because it sounded fun and I am in the middle of geeking out on period embellishment techniques. Small handwork appeals to me because I can explore techniques for further refinement and decide if I want to use them in larger clothing applications.
The only rules that I have given myself are these: In order to complete 50 projects by 50th Year, I must complete one project every two months. Every project must have some new application or technique used in it or be an extension of a new technique from a previous project. Lastly, I must complete the project at the end of the month set that it is scheduled for.
Sometimes I hit these goals and sometimes I don't. But, as long as I finish the projects I've got started, I think I'm doing fine.
Current Tally: 46 projects completed (or in process), 4 projects to go.
