About The Renaissance Tailor

The Renaissance Tailor Store is closed for business.

Twenty-three years ago, I opened this store with the idea of providing quality bespoke items to customers large and small. It's been a lovely two decades and I've enjoyed interacting with customers, getting to know retun customers, and creating many different items. My life has moved in a different direction which leads me away from this work into other avenues of creative production. Thank you for your support and business throughout the years.

The Renaissance TailorThe Renaissance Tailor store started business in February of 2002 as an extension of The Renaissance Tailor web site. Specializing in creating sturdy, wearable Elizabethan ruffs, cuffs, and Cavalier collars and cuffs, we also create various Elizabethan hat styles, Italian fans, and other small accessories for Elizabethan and Cavalier recreationists.

The Tailor has been sewing since the age of six and has been a recreative enthusiast for the past thirty years. In the modern world, The Tailor holds a degree in Archaeology from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. where The Tailor became involved in the S.C.A. The Tailor is also a digital and graphics designer as well as a fine artist specializing in oil painting based on techniques of the High Renaissance.

In the S.C.A., The Tailor is a member of the Right Noble Order of the Laurel, the Right Noble Order of the Pelican, a Countess of An Tir, a Viscountess of Artemisia, Baroness of the Court of An Tir, and holder of various awards from Atenveldt, Artemisia, and An Tir.
